This is how product development is, or is it?
Many ideas will never see daylight. Ideas are something we all have and that not many of us are able to push forward through all the stages up to the point where they can be sold.
The reasons for this can be many, and most often it is the transition between the idea itself up to the first prototype that is critical to have a chance to go to market with a new product.
This stage is looked at as one of the most time-consuming and costly processes. Is this true or is it possible to make something new without ruining the bank?
How we see it and how we can help you with the situation
Let’s say it as it is. Product development can be a costly process, and it can also be an easier process than you think. It all depends on what you are trying to develop.
Bigger and more technical systems will require more capital to do than smaller non-technical products.
In many cases the need is to upgrade and improve some of the existing equipment or part of the system. In these cases, we can help with the overall mapping of actual “wants and needs” and implementation of them.
We will start with the process of understanding the purpose of the equipment and system and which outcome is needed. For example, recordings of the actual job, enough lights, one cable to topside, small and neat or for example distribution of live video and so on.
This process will be key to figuring out which part of the system or equipment needs to change, upgraded or to be develop new.
With our knowledge and experience we often see retrofit as the least expensive solution for system upgrades.
We have evolved the ability to see how new ideas can fit older configurations. With specialization in drawing and design using powerful 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor where we can design and simulate parts, equipment and complex systems lets us pre-test new ideas before making important decisions on what to do and what works best.
With advanced 3D-printing we can help our clients with visualization and feel for the new product or part. This is helpful to easier be able to make adjustments and correction before producing the actual parts.
To bring up new ideas either for totally new concepts or to add new parts to an existing system, we can be your sparring partner and project supervisor.
Your job is to focus on your needs and make sure that we have the right understanding of the desired outcome.
We will bring your ideas to market through design, proto, testing, adjustment and production with all necessary documentation.
